BOONE COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT
|
|
Information on these pages provides a look at how other local governmental entities could be affected financially, if land in Bonus and Spring Townships were exempted from property taxes. The Boone County Conservation District usually applies for exemption from property taxes on lands it owns and manages. The information is based on the following: --> 2003 tax rates of Bonus Township, Spring Township, and Boone County --> An estimated total number of acres from each township (the assumption being made that the financial impact would occur in a single fiscal year – in reality, this isn’t even remotely possible, but is done to show what the total potential impact could be) --> All tax information was provided by the Boone County Supervisor of Assessments --> There are notes inserted at various points to emphasize specific considerations
